Statuses and filters
These are the states you can see on an expense or a budget.
An expense still owed
Open the expense. Settlement Path says No settlement links on this expense yet while nothing has been applied. The remaining amount is what is still owed.
Covered after you settle
After you settle an expense, Settlement Path shows the covered amount.
- Partially Settled means some of the amount is covered and some remains.
- All Settled means nothing remains on that path.
- Settled is the label on the covered amount.
A transfer you saved and never settled against the expense does not change these.
Paid is not the same as settled
Money tied to what someone paid does not clear who still owes. The expense is settled when nobody still on it is owed or still owes.
A recurring expense
The expense shows Recurring. Schedule shows Active or Paused, the date it runs from, and the next date. See Set up recurring expenses.
A budget that is running
A budget is running when it has no end date, or the end is today or later. It resets on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly.
A budget whose end has already passed is no longer running. The create form does not offer an end before today. See What the cap does.
Activity filters
On Activity, the filters are All, Groups, Expenses, and Transfers.
