Getting started

Use one dinner to see what Split Smarter is for. Alice pays ₹1000. Her share is ₹400. Bob’s share is ₹600. After the expense is saved, Bob owes Alice ₹600. Recording Bob’s payment covers that only after you settle it on the expense.

The path

1. Create your account so you can sign in. There is no guest entry.
2. Create a group and invite people for this dinner.
3. Log your first expense with Alice as the person who paid and both shares set.
4. Settle balances by recording the ₹600 payment from Bob to Alice.

When you are done, that transfer is saved, and Settlement Path on the dinner expense shows the ₹600 as settled.
