Relationship and relation

A relationship is the kind of connection. Split Smarter includes Friend, Roommate, Colleague, Family, Partner, Travel Buddy, and Other. You can also create your own, with a title, a short description, and an icon.

A relation is one of those kinds applied to one person. Adding someone always includes a relation. You cannot save the person and choose the kind later.

The label is yours. Friend on your side does not by itself mean they have labeled you. What that difference allows is in What a connection allows.
