Budgets

A budget is a cap on spending for a stretch of time. You name it, set the amount, and choose who it covers: Just me, Shared, or Group. It resets Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly. The start can be in the past. The end can stay open, or it must be today or later.

Where it shows up

A group budget appears on that group’s Budgets tab: the name, how often it resets, Soft or Hard, and the amount. Opening that row is not available yet.

A budget for Just me or Shared does not get its own list. While you add an expense, a matching budget can show as a chip with its name and how full it is. A hard cap that this expense would pass shows Hard on that chip.

The Budgets & Goals cards on home are examples. They are not the budgets you saved.

After you save, the app has no screen to edit, delete, or pause a budget.
